Persistence of Vision is basically the optical illusion in which multiple images blend into a single image in the human mind and contributes to the motion and perception in cinemas. It applies to my flip book because some audience interpret motion at rates as low as ten frames. The brain will take about couple seconds to process an image. Frame per seconds is important because its there to determine how fast the mind can process and see flashing images at a given time.
Lovely story. But I think the animation would have run smoother if the timing between photos was faster.
